Permutations
I’m happy to let anyone know that this project has been released. For 2 years I have been working on this album. Ofcourse, not all the time, not every minute, hour or day, but it was more work than I thought it should be. For this album I used a modular system. I like to work with this, it is great. Even if you can’t play keys (like me) you can create stunning worlds of sounds. I hope you like it.
September 8, 2020 – Release:
My Preset Life: The Commercial Album
The project has been released. In its final form it has 50 tracks of 1 minute long.
The idea of making musical vignettes of 1 minute is not mine. Some 40 years ago, the fantastic group of musicians named The Residents, published their Commercial Album. It had 40 songs of 1 minute. And it was great. I loved it. I’m still loving it. To honor and to celibrate that album I made mine. During the last years I’ve learned to use a lot of software including synthesizers and FX. For this projects I decided to use only presets coming along with software.
It was fun to make. I hope you like it.
